Primul show din cadrul festivalului va avea loc la Varsovia, in Polonia. Pe scena vor urca, alaturi de Metallica, trupele Slayer, Anthrax, Mastodon si Behemoth, anunta metallica.com.
Festivalul Sonisphere va avea loc in: Elvetia - Zurich (18 iunie), Cehia - Praga (19 iunie), Bulgaria - Sofia (22-23 iunie), Grecia - Atena (24 iunie), Turcia - Istanbul (25-27 iunie), Spania - Barcelona (10 iulie), Suedia - Stockholm (7 august), Finlanda - Pori (7-8 august), UK - Knebworth (30 iulie - 1 august).
Metallica a fost infiintata in 1981 si este una dintre cele mai apreciate formatii rock din istorie.

The return of the Sonisphere Festival
We are now entering the June portion of the “random tour announcement” derby and today's installment is one that is particularly exciting for us as we are proud to tell you that we will once again be in Sonisphere Festival mode headlining a large portion of the summer shows.
The first show of the travelling festival, now embarking upon its second year in existence, will be on June 16 at Bemowo Airport in Warsaw, Poland and joining us are some longtime friends . . . Slayer, Anthrax, and Mastodon!
Tickets go on sale tomorrow, Thursday, December 10. Go to www.sonsipherefestivals.com and choose the country you are interested in for more info on how to purchase tickets. All shows are general admission.
Additional Sonisphere shows will be announced in the next week, and in the meantime you may even want to consider checking back here in a few hours for some more tour updates both in Europe and Latin America (hint, hint)."
deci inca nu e nimic sigur. e posibil dupa cum se scria pe alt site ca in turcia sa concerteze sambata de exemplu iar in romania duminica ( in 2008 au avut concert miercuri la bucuresti si joi la budapeste).

Sonicsphere e un festival care are loc in mai multe tari, printre care si Romania. Au confirmat doar prezenta la Sonicsphere Varsovia si atat.
